The Door of No Return

The Door above in the Cape Coast Castle is the "door of no return".The Cape Coast Castle was the hub of the trans-african slave trade that took place 200 years ago.Anyone of the over million people that passed through this door never came back.

(Forgive me for not posting for sometime now.I have been having problems with my internet connection provider (ISP) )

Update: Read more on the Cape Coast Castle

I think this is the spot I saw on TV's "Amazing Race" a season or two ago. The people who visited here were very moved.

This is a great photograph, and I like the light coming through the doorway. It makes it seems like there's a "future" or "hope" on the other side, but sadly there wasn't. Your commentary made the photo all the more interesting!
